The Time Magazine Interview

In the past week, I’ve found myself doing a lot of press about the new movie Alto Knights, which has garnered significant attention from both fans and critics alike. As a writer, it’s been gratifying to see how my books, Top Hoodlum and The Deadly Don, were used as research material for the script, blending elements of my storytelling with the cinematic vision of the filmmakers. Engaging with the media has provided me the opportunity to reflect on the enduring themes in my work, especially the complexities of character and moral ambiguity, which are prevalent in both the novels and the film adaptation. As I navigate through interviews and discussions, I am reminded of the intricate connections between literature and film, celebrating how stories can transform across different mediums.

One of the interviews I did was with Time magazine. In that interview, I discussed the film’s portrayal of the Mafia, focusing on the historical aspects related to Frank Costello and Vito Genovese.
