Celebrating One Year of Broadway Butterfly: A Journey

Today marks the first anniversary of the publication of Broadway Butterfly. How fast time has gone. It’s incredible to reflect on the journey I’ve taken over the past year. Since my debut presentation at the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, I’ve participated in a series of interviews with several national press outlets, including radio shows, print publications and podcasts, that allowed me to reach a broader audience. I have always enjoyed the opportunity to connect with fellow journalists to discuss my books and share them with the public. That’s been the case with Broadway Butterfly, with discussions that have been both enlightening and stimulating. However, what has been the most gratifying this time around was my ability to place a memorial stone at Vivian Gordon’s (a/k/a Benita Bischoff) grave. — a grave that had gone unmarked for nearly a century. Commemorating her memory in this manner shows yet another way in which writers can make a difference.
